Ever heard of Raclette Day?

Ever heard of Raclette Day?

Well, you missed it by two days but rest assured you can celebrate it any time as we like to do at Lallemand.

Highly popular in Europe, Raclette is a melted-cheese dish originating from the Swiss Alps in 1291. Traditionally composed of Raclette type-cheeses, bread, boiled potatoes, pickles, and cured meats, Raclette is known to be a fun and interactive meal.

Raclette is an uncooked pressed cheese made in France and Switzerland mostly, accounting for 26% of the total production of uncooked pressed cheeses in France. Its characteristics are defined during the ripening process where cultures are used to develop specific functionalities such as texture, color, and taste.

With solutions ranging from single-strain cultures or blends (FLAV-ANTAGE®) to signature cocktails such as LALFLORA®AU1, Lallemand is proud to directly contribute to the Raclette variety.
