Lallemand group is donating 3200 personal protective masks
The Lallemand group is donating 3,200 surgical masks and N95 to local health authorities in the Montreal (Canada) and Cantal (France) regions, where its plants for the production of probiotics and specialty food cultures are located.
“To get through the health crisis linked to COVID-19, the Lallemand group is making this contribution in order to help reduce the risk of shortage of personal protective masks, in the short and medium term, which is a major issue for the protection of our health personnel worldwide. Our Lallemand Health Solutions (LHS) and Lallemand Specialty Culture (LSC) business units are committed to showing solidarity and taking concrete action to further support the health network. We have a great admiration for the caregivers and we hope that our donation will help to preserve their health.” Explains Jérôme Panes, President of both LHS and LCS business units.
“Cooperation and mutual aid are part of the intrinsic values of the Lallemand group’s business units. Since we are present all over the world, other initiatives to support particularly affected communities will be implemented. To face this global pandemic, concerted efforts and exceptional measures by every individuals, companies and governments must be deployed, as if we were all part of the same team.” concludes Antoine Chagnon, President and CEO of the Lallemand group.
